Adventures!

So last night I watched this amazing dog on TV. Now I have never met a dog I liked, but this creature was amazing! He went on some of the most amazing adventures. I think the people called him Snoopy. In fact, he was so awesome that when he came back on the TV this morning, I asked Mandy to leave the TV on for me.

Peyton and I have decided to take some time to work on our adventures! We will report back when we have adventures that are as awesome as Snoopy’s. We have started our adventure by meeting some of Mandy’s Stuffties.

It was a lot of work to get up to them. They are on the forth shelf and that is really high up! I had to work hard on getting up that high.

Well, that’s all for now. Mandy and Sam need to go to bed and I am going to tell them to go. They look tired.

Coming and Goings

Mandy has been really sweet to me today. She has snuggled me and made me feel loved. She even gave me extra breakfast because I asked and asked and asked. This morning, Elway and I would not take no for an answer. We have learned that the persistent cat gets Second Breakfast. I figure we deserve it after everything that happened yesterday. Let me tell you about how strange Mandy and Sam were acting!

First, Mandy wakes up in the middle of the night. She never wakes up in the middle of the night. She wakes everyone up trying to roll over. She said Elway made her legs fall asleep, because he was sleeping on her legs, and so she had to wake Elway up, which woke Sam up. In turn, all of that noise woke me up. I do not know how legs fall asleep. What strange talking.

Then just when they go back to sleep, their alarm goes off! What in the world! It is the middle of the night! And I do not think the alarm went off by accident because they jumped out of bed! Then rather than going back to bed or enjoying a leisurely breakfast, they get dressed and leave! Where on earth would they go in the middle of the night?

Then just when we drop back to sleep, those crazy people come home and wake us up again! Mandy gets more smelly brown stuff that she drinks, I think she calls it coffee. The only good thing about that stuff is sometimes I get some milk when she drinks that smelly stuff, but back to my story… They are not even home ten minutes and those crazy people are gone again!

This time we go back to sleep and we think we are safe for a while. But we are wrong! We had not been asleep long when those crazy loud people are home again, waking us up, and disturbing our morning. Do you know what these crazy people do now? They sit down on the couch and sleep. You heard me right, now they sleep! I thought they were supposed to sleep in bed. But no, they sit down with the TV on and next think I know they are sound asleep.

Elway was so bewildered by everything that happened that he crawled into Mandy and Sam’s bed. It was kind of chilly, so he crawled into the bed under the covers! Mandy found him, and snapped his picture.

I love how his paw is sticking out. It is like he is saying, ‘Go away, and let me sleep!’ Meow!

Anyway, you would think that was the end of the day, but Mandy and Sam go out again! Then they come home, and do their morning routine only to get dressed for bed. They curl up with Elway and watch this crazy movie. I did not stay in there with them, but Elway said it was some funny movie about big cats who wear necklaces and the people who fly around on a bed! I wonder if our bed could fly. Elway said it had a ball that made the bed fly! How awesome is that?!

Well, when Mandy and Sam finally came to bed, Elway and I were ready!

What a day! I hope today is more normal than yesterday!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Today is a big day, I can tell, because I got a really yummy breakfast! And catch this! As soon as I was done, Mandy asked me if I wanted more! Of course I want more! She gave me more breakfast and I didn’t even have to ask for it!

So I am not as brave around Vacuum as I made it sound yesterday. Peyton said I should come clean. Mandy and Sam unburied Vacuum when they brought the floor blankets downstairs. I was afraid to go near him. He is just so big!

Sam and Mandy put Peyton’s room back together, and they wouldn’t let me in to help them. How could they put it together without my help? Mandy says she can’t do much without me, but they worked in that room without me. She says that is not a cat room and I’m not allowed in there. I am sad because the room is so pretty with all the new goop on the walls. The room would be even prettier with a handsome kitty on the bed.

Mandy and Sam have been talking about everything they are thankful for today, so I want to share too. I am thankful for my happy home, my brooding brother, a yummy breakfast, a clean litter box, my torn-up scratching post, my fun toys, and wonderful cat nip.

So to all of you, count your blessings!

Petrified Vacuum

Something is up, and whatever it is, I like it! Mandy has been so generous this morning. She even gave us more food! We asked so sweetly and Mandy gave us more! MEOW!! Anyway, she is busy this morning. It looks like she is going to spend a lot of time in the food room, and I love the smells of the food room.

I do have news to report! MEOW!! The second stage of Vacuum’s demise is complete! Vacuum ran scared! In fact, he is petrified upstairs! We tried to scare him last night, and he won’t move an inch. So, I think we are wining this round in the battle for our house! Stage one was showing Vacuum our fierceness.

Well, Mandy is taking a break for coffee; I think I will cuddle her to thank her for the food.

Making-Up

Elway told me that Mandy and Sam were upset with my behavior. I have been rather aloof. So I have tried to correct my behavior this week, and be a sweet kitty. It is not easy to be sweet, in fact, it is kind of sickening.

One way I tried to be sweet was to spend time with Mandy. I did not want to take part of any of that disgusting cuddling; I need my space. So I napped next to Mandy in my bed while she worked.

She said I was rather cute sleeping there. I wish Mandy would get it though her head—I am not cute, I am handsome!

Well, I think something is up. Mandy and Sam took everything out of MY room last night. It was so scary I could not even stay up there. Everything is out of the room, even my big bed. Mandy keeps telling me it is not mine, but she is wrong. Someday she will let me in that room.

Well, I am off to sleep in the little bit of sun peeping in the window.

Scary Adventure

So I finally made it outside! But it was scary. You see, the front door was left unlocked and it blew open! Mandy did not know, so when she wasn’t looking, I slipped out the front door and into the bushes! I love those bushes, there are so many bugs and lizards to play with, pounce on and attack. After a while though there were scary noises. Cars drove by, dogs barked and someone was killing a tree next door. They were taking a machine into the branches. The branches would fall off and the whole time the tree was screaming and screaming! It was awful! I was so scared I couldn’t move.

Eventually Mandy noticed the door was open. She closed it and locked me out! It wasn’t long after that that she opened the door and called for me. Over here Mandy! I’m over here! She heard me and called again! She was closer! Over here Mandy! Come get me please! She called me again, and she was close enough that I felt safe walking out to her. She picked me up and snuggled me. She was right, it was cold, and it felt warm to snuggle. She took me back into the house and I was so happy to be home again. Although it was fun to get out and play with the bugs, it was nice to be home.

Although I did not like the noise maker when Mandy first got it, I have changed my mind. I’m hoping that someday she will let me play with it. I don’t think that will ever happen but a cat can hope right?

Oh guess what! Peyton just brought Mandy our toy from the bedroom! So we are going to play.

Outside or Bust

We want to go outside. We want to go outside. We want to go outside.

Those are our demands. We will be allowed outside, or you will suffer our wrath.

This is our message to Mandy this morning. Peyton and I want to go outside, and the windows are closed. Mandy says we have to wait until this afternoon. Well, that might be her time table, but we are not ok with it. We want to go outside NOW! Meow. So we are sulking in the bedroom because Mandy is not budging. We have asked so many ways. We were sweet, we played with Mandy, we looked longingly out the window, we cried, we pouted, and we were nice again. Nothing worked. Mandy says it is too cold outside and we have to wait until it warms up before she’ll open the windows.

So while we were pouting in the bedroom Mandy called us. Hmph! I’ll show her. I told Peyton not to budge and we didn’t come. Do you know what she did?! She went outside and closed the door behind her. When she came in both Peyton and I were by the door. She said if we would have come when she called she would have let us out. Meow-humbug. Sure she would have. I think she is just messing with our minds. Or we really blew it. All well.

I’m going back to sulk in the bedroom.

Trouble with a Capital T

I think Peyton is in trouble. I heard Sam and Mandy talking last night, and Mandy is sad with Peyton’s behavior. He has been really bratty lately. I’ve even told him that, but he never listens to me. Well, last night I heard Mandy say she didn’t like so many mood swings. She said Peyton is more unstable than a teenage girl. Meow. I don’t know what that means, but it sounds bad. So I told Peyton.

This morning, Peyton has been an angel. He snuggled into Mandy when her alarm went off and let Mandy cuddle him. He sat with Mandy while she ate breakfast, and he helped Sam get ready to go. I think he realized that his happy home was not so happy any more. At least he is trying to overcome his brat complex.

Meanwhile, I’ve been snuggling Mandy to keep her warm. It is cold here. Last night it got cold and when we got up this morning, Mandy did something to make warm air blow throughout the house. It was really nice. To help Mandy stay warm with both cuddled up with her, and purred. She was happy and kept saying her kitties were sweet. I think that is good for Peyton.

Well, I’m off to taunt Vacuum some more, and remind Peyton to be nice.

Return to Vacuum’s Demise

It has been so busy around here lately, that I have not had time to mention my plans to destroy Vacuum. I have been clocking his patterns. The one constant in everything is Monday. Vacuum always comes out on Monday. There are other days that Vacuum makes his presence known, but they are not constant. Vacuum comes out several other times a week, but the days are never a same, and there is not a pattern in his time table. Monday is the only constant day. This weekend, I shredded my scratching post so he would be reminded yet again of my fierceness. I watched him when he came out yesterday. Vacuum is not as smart as I gave him credit for. In fact, he is rather dunce. Yesterday, I saw him eat himself. Dim-witted Vacuum. I also have noticed that unless this tail is stuck into the wall, he is silent. So, yesterday when he came out, I showed him who was boss. But then Mandy untied his tail, and he started growling and chasing things again. He even came under the bed again. But I am not as afraid of him as I used to be. I still hate him, but now I know that he is not the cat nip among treats.

So my new plan! As long as Vacuum’s tail is bound, I can show him who’s the boss!! Peyton has been assisting in my plans too. We have been taunting him while he cowers in his closet. We are attacking from under the door. I do believe we are making process. Vacuum is beginning to know that we rule this house!

Well, I’m off for more taunting.

Rations

I’ve heard the awful “R” word. Mandy said she is rationing our food. She said we have been eating too much, and we are getting fat. Well HAHA! Look who’s talking Mandy. Ration our food…hmmmph! You should take care of your own problems first. Well, when the measuring cup came out, I was flabbergasted. I sat in the window and just shook my head. She gave us food last night and said that was all until tomorrow night! Whatever! Mandy I’m a growing cat, feed me what I want! She says we aren’t growing anymore, and we are just getting fat. She even told me I was fat! She’s never said that before. I looked and looked in the mirror last night. Maybe I’m a little fluffy but I’m not fat! Please Mandy. Meow! Well, it’s not like we are over eating much…there is still plenty of food out for us to last us all day. But I would never tell Mandy that. Rations are for dogs and people. We cats are much smarter, and we do not over eat. We don’t need rations.

Well, that’s all. I have to go before Peyton notices that I’m blogging. He wanted to write this morning.

Too bad you just weren’t fast enough! I knew you would forget the funny story. I told my story about Washer, but you don’t tell your story about the big tub! MEOW!!

You remember that Mandy has three rules for us outside.
1. No Frog Chomping
2. No Bug Munching
3. No Fishing

Well, Elway broke rule three again! Meow! Sam caught him, and told him to get down. Sam gave him three opportunities to jump down. Elway did not jump down so Sam notified Mandy. Uh-Oh! Elway is in trouble now. Those are Mandy’s fish, and Elway is not allowed to play with them. He knows that. So Mandy comes out and picks Elway up, and the next thing you know Elway is all wet. HAHA. She gave him a towel, and helped him dry off. I think they have made up now, but Elway was awful upset for a long time. Silly cat needs to learn not to fish. I mean, how many times does Mandy need to tell Elway…No fishing!?

Well, I’m off to play outside. The windows are open!

Food! Food! Food!

Good news all! We ran out of food a few days ago, and Sam and Mandy got some more today! Well, they didn’t really run out of food, we’ve had Peyton’s food. But now we have my food again! Mandy says we have different food because we’re stinky otherwise. Really, it’s just our way of telling Mandy we want some privacy, but that is not how she takes it. So the good news is we have food again! And my magic cupboard is full of food again!!!

Today Mandy and Sam have been gone all day, and we slept all day. It has been nice! Now they are home and making noise and disrupting us, but they brought food so it’s forgivable. Well, I’m off to eat some more!

Stuck!

All is quite again. It has been a loud and busy few days. Mandy said she had a lot of fun with Opa and Elly. They sat around and played games all the time, and talked. Last night Elly and Mandy sat on the couch and played with yarn. I do not know what they were doing, but it seemed interesting. Elly was much faster than Mandy, but I have no idea what they were making.

We have been outside some. The storm came and left. Other than some wind it was not that bad.
After we were alone this morning, we explored the whole house. I made sure every inch was covered. I even looked behind Washer for any signs of our guests. There were no signs of them. However I did get stuck behind Washer. I cried and cried. Mandy heard me and came to rescue me. I tried to jump over washer but I could not jump that high. Mandy had to move Washer and Dryer. Even though she was careful, she still squished me. However, she was able to move them enough so I could get out. I was thankful when she got me out, and I snuggled her.

Well, there is lots of work to do. I am trying to motivate Mandy to work faster. I better go, she has slowed down again.

Storms A'coming

There’s a storm coming! I know ‘cause I can feel it coming. The weather is changing. Cats know things like this. Mandy and Sam are doing all the storm prep. I think they called this storm Ida. Who names storms? Seriously?!

Anyway, things are really different right now. There are people here. I can’t figure out what is going on. Normally, when company comes things are different, but this company answers to Sam! I did not know that other people were called Sam! But this company goes around and talks about my Sam, and also answers to Sam. I don’t know what to think about this!!! So I am rather jumpy with this company here.

Oh, I hear them! Have to go!

Strange Cat

There is a new animal in our yard! I met the new animal yesterday and I call this strange animal Cat. This Cat came clear up to the screen, and we talked and talked. Mandy heard us and came out to see what was going on. I know my Mandy and I know that she makes friends with strange animals. I had not made my mind up if this Cat was friend or foe, so I backed up to protect Mandy. And I did a good job. I scared Cat off and chased him away from the screen. I protected Mandy. When Cat was gone, I came back to Mandy and let her pick me up and then I looked over her shoulder and hissed to let Cat know she was mine. But I wanted Cat to know that we are always here and we like friends, so I meowed too.

Well, the friendly meow was enough and Cat came back! We spent several hours together. Elway even came out and met Cat.

I am not sure if Cat has a home, and I have determined that Cat is a friend. I told Cat that Mandy is a good servant. I told Cat about how Mandy feeds us, and loves us and gives us treats. Cat seemed to like this idea. I hope Mandy does not mind that I am adopting Cat.

Last night was so strange. This man showed up and did funny things in the TV room. They moved all of the furniture again! He made the whole house smell, and trashed Mandy’s clean floor. I have no idea what he did, but Sam and Mandy are pleased with whatever he did. But after he left they put all of the furniture back. How strange.

Well, I am off to play outside.

Magic Cupboard

I have a magic cupboard! We’ve found the most amazing cupboard in the house! It is in this small room, and inside the cupboard is all this food! So, now when we run out of food, I am do not worry about where the food will come from! I know there is more food!

I check the cupboard every few days to make sure the food is still there. It is amazing! All that food is for us! Meow!!!!

Something is up. Mandy is expecting people, I’m sure of it. She has been running up and down the stairs and doing the “company” cleaning. I don’t know when they are coming, or who is coming, but I know someone is coming. Mandy always enjoys when people come. She turns the music on and sings and dances around the house. Sometimes we do it with her, but when I know company is coming, I sit in the corner and stare at her. She doesn’t care. She picks me up and sings with me anyway.

I think she is finally done slopping goop on the walls for a while. She picked up all of the floor blankets and folded them up. Sam took them out last night. I’d think she was done slopping goop for good, but last time I thought that, she started dragging that stuff out again.

This morning the evil rabbit was in our yard again. I stared at him through the window, but Mandy did not open it for me. Peyton asked to go outside. He stands up and puts his paws on the window. Mandy only tells him to get down, and says she just cleaned the window. Poor Peyton. He wants out, but I’m sure Mandy will let us out later. She has been opening the windows when she works in the afternoon.

Well, I’m off to stare at Mandy from the corner. It looks like she is going to clean again.

Busy Times

This week has been super busy. Mandy has been running up and down the stairs, and I even enjoyed going in my room!!!! Mandy would not let me play in there, but I sat with her while she was in there. I enjoyed just seeing the room. But no one was in there. Mom with Cool Toys and Shrimp Dad left nothing behind. In fact, it was so clean there were not even any smells of them. Maybe they were not here; maybe I imagined them. Mandy spent most of her time in the other room. She was slopping more goop on the walls. I thought she was done but last night she said something about having to do it again. She worked hard on the room, and now she says it needs more paint. She made me tired just watching her. At least I have lots of places to hide and sleep now that everything is in the hallway.

Mandy and Sam have been sleeping in. I do not understand why. They never sleep in, and suddenly, they are sleeping in past the sun rise. But the weird part is they go about their normal routine only an hour later.

We have not seen Mr. Turtle around. I believe he has moved on for a while since Mandy and Sam are sleeping late. But he said he would be back. I am sure he will be back, because I really liked him.

The other day, Mandy banged on the walls and put stuff up. I tried to look at it, but Mandy caught me on the chair and I got in trouble. I was only looking at the art. She came and found me though and held me up to the picture. I was able to smell it and I gave her my approval. I am glad she is putting things on the walls to make the house pretty.

Well, I am off to play outside.
