Year End
Everyone that came through admired how handsome I am. I really did not mind everyone admiring my beauty! Some people said I had a beautiful face, and everyone agrees with me that I am not fat, I am handsome.
Today was perfect! Mandy and Sam slept super late. Elway and I did not mind. In fact, we slept with them. Elway cuddled into Mandy’s legs and I slept between Sam’s legs. It was nice to cuddle as a family. We had a nice breakfast and Elway made me workout. Then Mandy opened the windows and let us play inside and outside. I did not know the window was open and Mandy woke me up for my nap and took me outside. It was very nice outside. Then Sam brought us in and gave us one of our new toys to play with inside. Elway and I have had a fun time playing with the mouse. We chased that sucker all over!
Mandy and Sam say it is New Years Eve and that a new year will start tomorrow. It is getting pretty late and I wonder if they are ever going to go to bed. Maybe if I ask nicely they will.

Alone
Well, I am sleepy as I snuggle Mandy, so I’m going to take a quick cat nap.
Talk to you later.

Company Leaving...I think
Mom With Cool Toys and Shrimp Dad are still here. Shrimp Dad plays with us a lot, and feeds us when Mandy is not looking. Mandy says we should call him Man who Makes us Fat, but I prefer Shrimp Dad. He shares.
We got so many cool things for Christmas! We got treats and toys! We got this really great toy that hangs on the door and we can play with it whenever we want! We also got some really fun squeaky toys which we are still getting used to because of the loud squeaks. But they are still fun to play with. I don't know what makes them squeak, and I want to make sure I am not hurting the toys, but sometimes I like to hear the squeak! And the treats are amazing! So yummy! Thank you to everyone who sent us gifts. We love them!
Well, Mandy looks really tired and it is dinner time. I think I will remind her that we still need to eat.

Merry Christmas!!!
It’s Christmas! It has been a busy, fun, and confusing day! I kept my promise and was a good kitty! I got lots of new toys and treats! We have had fun playing with our new toys today! I am very tired now.
Mandy says Christmas is the celebration of Jesus, the Christ-Child. We hope you have a wonderful day celebrating His birth!
Merry Christmas!!!

Full House!
Mom with Cool Toys gave us another toy! It is just like our favorite toy and we love it! Peyton really loves those toys and even thanked Mom with Cool Toys for another fun gift!
Today must be a special day because Mandy is in the kitchen a lot. She even had this paper on the floor with lots of fun ribbons! I helped Mandy by bringing the ends of the ribbon to her. I would tell her which ribbon looked good on each package. Mandy was not very gratefully for my help. She kept yelling at me to stop playing with the ribbon. Mandy! I’m helping! But she would not agree, and finally took the ribbon away. Peyton likes the ribbon too. He likes to pull the packages all over the place with the ribbon. Mandy took the boxes and put them under the tree. There are packaged under the tree for me too! I know because they smell yummy! There is even one package that I think is for me that squeaks! I can’t wait to see what is in the package! Mandy says Santa is coming tonight, so I am going to go to bed early just to show Santa what a good kitty I am.
Well, I think it’s about to get busy because Sam and Shrimp Dad are talking about something important looking! Got to go help!

Letter to Santa
I love Christmas! It is so much fun! There is this huge tree in my house and it is fun to climb. I try to be a good kitty and not climb it. I’m not always a good kitty, but I try really hard. Because I try so hard to be good, I hope that you will include me on your nice list.
I would really like a fun new toy to play with, and maybe some treats.
Thank you! I promise to try to be a good kitty until Christmas.

Vacuum is a PIG!
The worst part of all of it is that Sam said that was the last of my food for a while. Doctor put us on special food, and it is not near as good as my food. So, now I have to eat the special doctor food. Gross. Meow.
Well, I’m off to make Peyton run extra hard. The faster he loses weight, the faster I get my food back!

Up in the Air!
Mandy says we were at Bomom’s and Bonedad’s condo. Mandy took us outside, and Elway ran out, but I was more cautious. I stepped out about two feet and froze! We were really high up! The cars were way below us! We were way up in the air! I was scared! Mandy picked me up and I was shaking all over. Mandy opened the door and I ran inside and straight into my cage! I want to go home! Meow!
Sam came to the condo. I do not know how Sam knows about the place, but he came. Maybe Mandy told him. Eventually Sam and Mandy put us back in our cages and took us home. We were able to ride home in Mandy’s lap. I helped Sam drive. We were very glad to be home. What a big adventure!
Well, I’m off to bed.

Shrimp Dinner
Peyton has warmed up to the company as much as he will; he does come out and eat dinner. He will sit in the room with everyone as long as no one pays him any attention. Crazy! All of these people are here to worship me! They all pet me, and play with me. They tell me I am very handsome. I do not know why Peyton would not like that. But that means more attention for me!
I do have Good News! Mandy gave us free reign of the house! Wahoo! We were good kitties and did not play with the tree while she was gone. Oh no! Sam just found a broken ornament! My gig is up! I hope he blames Peyton! Here comes Vacuum! I HATE Vacuum!
Got to run!

More Company
Peyton does not like having all of this company coming in and out of the house, but he was not too shy to come eat his dinner. Of course, Mandy had to pull him out of the bed, but once he was out, he ate and stayed with us. But whenever anyone moved Peyton ran straight to the bedroom. He is very unfriendly.
We have been locked in the bedroom because Mandy says we play with the tree too much. We are being very good not to play with the tree. She says she might trust us soon! Yesterday she received a package from Gram. I have not met Gram, but I was certain this package was for me. Mandy put the package under the tree, and that must mean it is for me! The package has the most wonderful gold bow on it! I can drag that gift all over the house. I have to be very careful not to let Mandy see me. Unfortunately, she got smart and turned the gift over. Now I can’t play with the pretty gold bow.
Well, I am awfully tired, and I think I will curl up to sleep. Good night world. Tonight I will dream of far-away place and strange animals.

The Scoundrel Strikes Again!
Peyton has found a bug in our glass cage. We don’t know how it has gotten in there. But with all the logs and chain curtains that bug must be having fun. Mandy said the bug looks angry. We are watching the bug, and he is a big sucker. Mandy called it a wasp. I have never seen one of those before. I don’t think I want to play with it, it does look angry.
Well, I’m off to help Sam some more. I think he needs help cleaning up. He made a big mess, and there is never a mess in the big eating room. I will tell him to clean it up.

Second Time Company
Then when Sam came home, Mandy told him to find Bonedad. Over here Sam!! Follow me! I raced upstairs to show Sam where Bonedad was hiding. He was sleeping, and I was able to get a good smell of him. I remembered him too. He scratches my head. This company really isn’t so bad, because they leave us alone, and they are not much louder than Mandy and Sam, unless they play cards or they don’t feel good. Last year, we had to get used to them because they stayed with us. This year, they are not staying with us. I don’t know why they get kicked out at night. I hope they have someplace to go, because it is cold and rainy out there. I hope they are not sleeping outside.
So anyway, Last night they got the cards out and played a very long game. They were fighting over this little box. Evidently there is something special in that box, and Bomom and Bonedad want it. So they fight for it with those cards. They laughed and talked and were very loud. It sounded like fun, and they ignored me, so I played with the tree.
Mandy has banished us to the bedroom whenever she leaves. She says she can’t trust me around the tree. Peyton asks and asks to have free reign, and Mandy says she would give it to Peyton, but because I play with the tree she can’t trust me. That’s awful! All well, it is way to fun to play with the tree then to ignore it.
Well, Peyton’s rest is over. I need to chase him some more.

Banished
Well, the workout plan is going well…to a point. Peyton is only active when I force him to run. Otherwise, he hides in the closet where we can’t get him. But I do have to say he came out earlier than normal last night and played. He is trying to be a little more active, I think.
This morning we had a cat in the backyard. Sam noticed the cat first, and pointed him out to Mandy. Let me out Mandy! I’ll chase him away! Guess what?! She let me out!!! We chased the cat away, and I don’t think he’ll be back. At first we tried to make friends with strange cats, but once we learned that Mandy was nice to the cats, we decided to chase them away. It is not fun to share Mandy.
Well, Peyton needs to run some more. Got to go!

Tree
We had a tree last year around this time. I remember Santa brought us a cave to play in. We are too big for the cave now, and we store all of our toys in it. I wonder if Santa will bring us anything this year!
Well, when Mandy and Sam put up the tree, Mandy brought in several boxes. She has totally messed up the house. There is stuff everywhere. Seriously! And they have been moving furniture again! This time they moved the TV, and they moved the couch clear out of the room. Then they added stuff. Strange thing my people do, always moving stuff around.
Peyton is in a better mood today. I am putting him on a workout plan. It is my personal goal to get Peyton to lose some weight. I am showing him what I do to stay in shape. This morning, I showed him how to play with his food. It helps work on your sharp starts and stops, and it teaches you to except the unexpected. He did not really get into it, so I am chasing him this morning. I see him sitting in the corner, so I am off to chase him!

Cat Doctor and Big Lies!
This morning, we got up as normal, but then when Mandy went to leave, she put us in harness! Meow! I get to go too! Ok, so I am sure you can sense the sarcasm in my enthusiasm. I was less than eager about the prospect of going with Mandy. She said we were going to the Cat Doctor -- that sounds less than thrilling-- so as you can imagine I was easy to catch. I gave Mandy quite the workout, but she got the best of me when she opened the door and went outside. I should have known that was a trap, but I was too excited to go outside.
So, Mandy puts us in the car with our portable cages. I dislike those things! When we first got to the cat doctor we tried to go inside in our harness, but we chickened out, and Mandy let us in our cages. Maybe they are not half bad. So we go inside and there are all of these other cats. And do you know what?! They love Mandy! And even worse, she shows affections back! Go away CAT! That is MY Mandy!!! I let everyone know I did not like these cats cozying up to MY Mandy. But I was in my cage, so I could not do much about it. Those cages are awful!
Then Mandy takes us in a small room and lets us out of our cages! I came right out of that awful thing! But then she took the cage away and closed it. Some strange lady came in and picked me up. Excuse me! She said I was a big boy. Too big. Whatever. She doesn’t know what she is talking about, I am just a growing boy. Elway hid in the corner after Mandy pried him out of his cage. The lady went for Elway and Mandy had to pull him out. Poor brother. I ran back to my cage, maybe it is not so bad after all. But it was closed and I could not get in.
Then the lady left, and I thought we were good to go, but Mandy said we had to see the doctor. What? Who was that lady then?! So we waited and the doctor came in. She told Mandy I was fat. FAT?! Me?!! She told Mandy we had to get my weight down, and she gave Mandy special food. Who does this lady think she is? Telling me I am Fat. Look lady, I am just fluffy. MEOW!!! Mandy, do NOT listen to her! But you know what; I think Mandy listened to her, because Mandy talked about my food. The Doctor said it was too high calorie. Now, I do not know what calories are, but whatever they are, I like them!
So then the Doctor picked me up, and looked me all over. Then she stuck sharp things in my behind. Excuse me!?! Is there no privacy? She even talked to Mandy about my daily schedule…like it is any of her business what I do in my box!
And to make matters worse, the doctor said Elway was perfectly healthy. And he was not fat. Meow. At least he got stuck with the sharp things in the behind too.
Finally, Mandy opened the cages, and I ran in! Get me out of here! I am tired of hearing these lies! I am NOT FAT! Once we were in the car, I demanded to be let out of my cage. I told Mandy just what I thought about that awful Doctor place. MEOW!
So then we get home, and already I have noticed changes. Mandy took some of my food away! She put it back in the container!!! Meow?! What if I want to eat that?
Well, I do not know if I can share any more about the tree in the TV room, or the boxes that are everywhere. Maybe Elway can tell you about that later, he is more excited about it. I am so tired after today’s events and it is not even lunch. I am off to take a nap. Maybe when I wake up, today’s events will all be a bad dream!

Thank you!
Thank you for coming over to check on us when Mandy and Sam deserted us. Although we were not overly friendly, we did appreciate you coming over to clean out our box, and to feed us!
Next time we see you, we probably won’t be any kinder, but please know we are grateful for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Peyton and Elway
Breakfast!
When they came home, we loved them and showed them all of the fun times we had the house without them! The good thing about them being gone is we had free reign of the house and we could do whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted. But Mandy and Sam scratch our head, and keep us warm on cold nights, and play with our toys! So we were glad they are home.
But that brings me back to breakfast. We eat with Sam and Mandy, and Sam is not up yet. I am so hungry, and Mandy says we have to wait for Sam. I don’t think I can wait for Sam, I might eat something else. Oh wait!!! Sam is up! Breakfast!!! MEOW!
Peyton!

Rain
Well rain is the only news here. No big adventures, nothing fun to report, just rain.
