Year End

It has been a very busy and loud few weeks. We have had more people in and out of this house than I can remember. Mom with Cool Toys brought me another cool toy just like the one before! I thanked her for it many times. I even let her love me. That is pretty special since not everyone is allowed to love me.

Everyone that came through admired how handsome I am. I really did not mind everyone admiring my beauty! Some people said I had a beautiful face, and everyone agrees with me that I am not fat, I am handsome.

Today was perfect! Mandy and Sam slept super late. Elway and I did not mind. In fact, we slept with them. Elway cuddled into Mandy’s legs and I slept between Sam’s legs. It was nice to cuddle as a family. We had a nice breakfast and Elway made me workout. Then Mandy opened the windows and let us play inside and outside. I did not know the window was open and Mandy woke me up for my nap and took me outside. It was very nice outside. Then Sam brought us in and gave us one of our new toys to play with inside. Elway and I have had a fun time playing with the mouse. We chased that sucker all over!

Mandy and Sam say it is New Years Eve and that a new year will start tomorrow. It is getting pretty late and I wonder if they are ever going to go to bed. Maybe if I ask nicely they will.

Alone

Mom With Cool Toys and Shrimp Dad just left. We watched the car pull out of the driveway. Shrimp Dad carried down all of their stuff today and put it in the car. I don’t know when we will see them again. I think Mandy was sad to watch them go. And now she is cuddled up on the couch. We we’re trying to snuggle her to cheer her up. It is nice to be alone with Mandy again. I think she liked having Mom WCT and Shrimp Dad here because they took care of her. They even worked in her kitchen and brought her dinner. Sam got in on it too, and they took care of him. Evidently Sam picked what they ate. Shrimp Dad gave me a little bite of whatever I asked for. He really is very good at sharing. Now that he is gone, I’m afraid Mandy and Sam will put us on that stupid diet again.

Well, I am sleepy as I snuggle Mandy, so I’m going to take a quick cat nap.
Talk to you later.

Company Leaving...I think

So today, I think that part of our company left; although, I’m not sure why they are leaving, since they have their own place. Bomom and Bonedad came over and had a big breakfast, and then everyone said good bye. I watched Bonedad outside and he had a lot of stuff in his car. I told Mandy when he left the trunk open, and Bonedad was able to fix that. I am such a big help. Anyway, I do not know where they were going, or why we don’t see them more often. Maybe they do not stay at that condo all the time.

Mom With Cool Toys and Shrimp Dad are still here. Shrimp Dad plays with us a lot, and feeds us when Mandy is not looking. Mandy says we should call him Man who Makes us Fat, but I prefer Shrimp Dad. He shares.

We got so many cool things for Christmas! We got treats and toys! We got this really great toy that hangs on the door and we can play with it whenever we want! We also got some really fun squeaky toys which we are still getting used to because of the loud squeaks. But they are still fun to play with. I don't know what makes them squeak, and I want to make sure I am not hurting the toys, but sometimes I like to hear the squeak! And the treats are amazing! So yummy! Thank you to everyone who sent us gifts. We love them!

Well, Mandy looks really tired and it is dinner time. I think I will remind her that we still need to eat.

Merry Christmas!!!

It’s Christmas! It has been a busy, fun, and confusing day! I kept my promise and was a good kitty! I got lots of new toys and treats! We have had fun playing with our new toys today! I am very tired now.

Mandy says Christmas is the celebration of Jesus, the Christ-Child. We hope you have a wonderful day celebrating His birth!

Merry Christmas!!!

Full House!

We have a full house! Mom with Cool Toys is here and Shrimp Dad too! Bomom and Bonedad still come over too. Almost everyone has come to see us! We miss ajulie though, and hope she is well!

Mom with Cool Toys gave us another toy! It is just like our favorite toy and we love it! Peyton really loves those toys and even thanked Mom with Cool Toys for another fun gift!

Today must be a special day because Mandy is in the kitchen a lot. She even had this paper on the floor with lots of fun ribbons! I helped Mandy by bringing the ends of the ribbon to her. I would tell her which ribbon looked good on each package. Mandy was not very gratefully for my help. She kept yelling at me to stop playing with the ribbon. Mandy! I’m helping! But she would not agree, and finally took the ribbon away. Peyton likes the ribbon too. He likes to pull the packages all over the place with the ribbon. Mandy took the boxes and put them under the tree. There are packaged under the tree for me too! I know because they smell yummy! There is even one package that I think is for me that squeaks! I can’t wait to see what is in the package! Mandy says Santa is coming tonight, so I am going to go to bed early just to show Santa what a good kitty I am.

Well, I think it’s about to get busy because Sam and Shrimp Dad are talking about something important looking! Got to go help!

Letter to Santa

Dear Santa,

I love Christmas! It is so much fun! There is this huge tree in my house and it is fun to climb. I try to be a good kitty and not climb it. I’m not always a good kitty, but I try really hard. Because I try so hard to be good, I hope that you will include me on your nice list.

I would really like a fun new toy to play with, and maybe some treats.

Thank you! I promise to try to be a good kitty until Christmas.

Vacuum is a PIG!

That awful Vacuum ate my food! You see I play with my food as part of my workout plan, and the other day I spilled my dish and knocked it clear under the bed. Well, Mandy said to eat as much as I could because Vacuum had to clean that mess up! Well, Vacuum came out and ate all of my food! And he does not chew with his mouth closed he is loud and rude! What a pig! So, my mission to destroy Vacuum is forefront. I don’t know how to get the best of that evil contraption, but I will! This is my house, and I will show that rude being who’s boss!

The worst part of all of it is that Sam said that was the last of my food for a while. Doctor put us on special food, and it is not near as good as my food. So, now I have to eat the special doctor food. Gross. Meow.

Well, I’m off to make Peyton run extra hard. The faster he loses weight, the faster I get my food back!

Up in the Air!

There are all these people here, and it has totally disrupted my life. Elway does not mind the company, but it is so strange to me. Mandy and Sam are enjoying it all, and we have seen much less of them than normal. A few darks ago, Mandy came home, and got out our portable cages. I do not like those things. Mandy put us in the harness and stuffed us in our cages. Then she took us outside and put us in the back of the car! We never ride in the back! Mandy always lets us out of the car, and she did not let us out! Bomom and Bonedad were in the car too. They talked and talked. It was scary. Mandy sang to us in the car, and talked to us to make sure we were ok. It is strange that Mandy sings in front of these people. Mandy never sings in front of people…just Elway and me. I did not know where we were going with these strange people, but I did not have a choice. After a short ride in the car, Mandy stopped and took us out of the back of the car. She carried us to this small room that moved. I cried in the moving room. Then we went to this house. Mandy let us out of the cages. Elway ran out of his cage, and looked all over.

Mandy says we were at Bomom’s and Bonedad’s condo. Mandy took us outside, and Elway ran out, but I was more cautious. I stepped out about two feet and froze! We were really high up! The cars were way below us! We were way up in the air! I was scared! Mandy picked me up and I was shaking all over. Mandy opened the door and I ran inside and straight into my cage! I want to go home! Meow!

Elway came over to make sure I was ok. Eventually I came out again, and slept next to this cat in the wall. Elway and I sniffed and sniffed the cats in the wall but eventually just slept because the cats in the wall did not seem to be mean. In fact, they were handsome!

Sam came to the condo. I do not know how Sam knows about the place, but he came. Maybe Mandy told him. Eventually Sam and Mandy put us back in our cages and took us home. We were able to ride home in Mandy’s lap. I helped Sam drive. We were very glad to be home. What a big adventure!

Well, I’m off to bed.

Shrimp Dinner

We had a very yummy dinner last night. Mandy grilled that wonderful creation shrimp again. The Nice Lady with the Snazzy Jacket was here. Mandy calls her Auntie. She gave me so much shrimp! Mandy threw me out of the room though when I pushed my luck and jumped on Auntie's lap. Auntie gave me lots of shrimp! I love shrimp. Then the crazy people went over and played with the TV again.

Peyton has warmed up to the company as much as he will; he does come out and eat dinner. He will sit in the room with everyone as long as no one pays him any attention. Crazy! All of these people are here to worship me! They all pet me, and play with me. They tell me I am very handsome. I do not know why Peyton would not like that. But that means more attention for me!

I do have Good News! Mandy gave us free reign of the house! Wahoo! We were good kitties and did not play with the tree while she was gone. Oh no! Sam just found a broken ornament! My gig is up! I hope he blames Peyton! Here comes Vacuum! I HATE Vacuum!

Got to run!

More Company

Tonight is a first. I am writing this blog from bed. I am very tired, but I wanted to tell you about the strange people I have. They have such odd comings and goings. Anyway, we have more company! I feel like the company keeps coming and coming! Bomom and Bonedad are still here. I thought maybe they had left, because we had not seen them in a while, but they showed up again today. I guess I should have known, because Mandy has been leaving us. If I would have bothered to smell her clothes, I’m sure I would have smelled them. Tonight when they showed up, they brought a lady with them…and I remembered her too! She was here last year and she was very friendly. I played with her and she slept on the bed of air. Today she had on this wonderful jacket. It smelled so good, and I just smelled it and smelled it. It smelled of far-away lands and strange animals. I made sure to make it smell like me too.

Peyton does not like having all of this company coming in and out of the house, but he was not too shy to come eat his dinner. Of course, Mandy had to pull him out of the bed, but once he was out, he ate and stayed with us. But whenever anyone moved Peyton ran straight to the bedroom. He is very unfriendly.

We have been locked in the bedroom because Mandy says we play with the tree too much. We are being very good not to play with the tree. She says she might trust us soon! Yesterday she received a package from Gram. I have not met Gram, but I was certain this package was for me. Mandy put the package under the tree, and that must mean it is for me! The package has the most wonderful gold bow on it! I can drag that gift all over the house. I have to be very careful not to let Mandy see me. Unfortunately, she got smart and turned the gift over. Now I can’t play with the pretty gold bow.

Well, I am awfully tired, and I think I will curl up to sleep. Good night world. Tonight I will dream of far-away place and strange animals.

The Scoundrel Strikes Again!

The Evil Rabbit is back! I thought we had gotten rid of him, and the villain has a girlfriend! Mandy pointed him out to me, and I sat in the window and watched the scoundrel as he hippity-hopped across my front yard.

Sam was working in the front window hanging fabric so I will have a better view of the front yard from now on. Previously there was a wooden thing in front of my window. I helped Sam by sitting on the portable steps to offer support. I was also able to get a better view our front yard to look for the villain.

Peyton has found a bug in our glass cage. We don’t know how it has gotten in there. But with all the logs and chain curtains that bug must be having fun. Mandy said the bug looks angry. We are watching the bug, and he is a big sucker. Mandy called it a wasp. I have never seen one of those before. I don’t think I want to play with it, it does look angry.

Well, I’m off to help Sam some more. I think he needs help cleaning up. He made a big mess, and there is never a mess in the big eating room. I will tell him to clean it up.

Second Time Company

We have company. I knew we would because Mandy cleaned the house up really fast the other day. She only does that when company comes. This company is different…I remember them! Bomom and Bonedad are here! When they came home with Mandy they were so quite I ran out to greet Mandy and whoa! There they were! I ran back into my bedroom right away and hid in my bed. When Mandy gave them a tour of our house, I stayed in my bed and then the house was so quite I came out to help Mandy because she was cooking in the food room; I could tell because it smelled good. So when I got to the kitchen, there was Bomom! I think she might have been asleep, but then Mandy spoke to her, and she looked at me!!! I froze. Do you know what? She ignored me. So I walked over cautiously to her and sniffed her. I remember her…she can’t catch me. So I have been out with her since.

Then when Sam came home, Mandy told him to find Bonedad. Over here Sam!! Follow me! I raced upstairs to show Sam where Bonedad was hiding. He was sleeping, and I was able to get a good smell of him. I remembered him too. He scratches my head. This company really isn’t so bad, because they leave us alone, and they are not much louder than Mandy and Sam, unless they play cards or they don’t feel good. Last year, we had to get used to them because they stayed with us. This year, they are not staying with us. I don’t know why they get kicked out at night. I hope they have someplace to go, because it is cold and rainy out there. I hope they are not sleeping outside.

So anyway, Last night they got the cards out and played a very long game. They were fighting over this little box. Evidently there is something special in that box, and Bomom and Bonedad want it. So they fight for it with those cards. They laughed and talked and were very loud. It sounded like fun, and they ignored me, so I played with the tree.

Mandy has banished us to the bedroom whenever she leaves. She says she can’t trust me around the tree. Peyton asks and asks to have free reign, and Mandy says she would give it to Peyton, but because I play with the tree she can’t trust me. That’s awful! All well, it is way to fun to play with the tree then to ignore it.

Well, Peyton’s rest is over. I need to chase him some more.

Banished

We have been banished from the TV room when Mandy is not home. She locks us up in the bedroom. She says she can’t take any chances that we might climb the tree and knock it over. I tell her we are good kitties, and we’d only climb the bottom half but she says we can’t climb it at all. She’s impossible to argue with.

Well, the workout plan is going well…to a point. Peyton is only active when I force him to run. Otherwise, he hides in the closet where we can’t get him. But I do have to say he came out earlier than normal last night and played. He is trying to be a little more active, I think.

This morning we had a cat in the backyard. Sam noticed the cat first, and pointed him out to Mandy. Let me out Mandy! I’ll chase him away! Guess what?! She let me out!!! We chased the cat away, and I don’t think he’ll be back. At first we tried to make friends with strange cats, but once we learned that Mandy was nice to the cats, we decided to chase them away. It is not fun to share Mandy.

Well, Peyton needs to run some more. Got to go!

Tree

There is a tree in our TV room! That’s the good news! The bad news is that Mandy won’t let me climb the tree or even play with it. The tree is so fun to climb, and there are all of these ornament things on the tree! And the best part, the tree lights up!

We had a tree last year around this time. I remember Santa brought us a cave to play in. We are too big for the cave now, and we store all of our toys in it. I wonder if Santa will bring us anything this year!

Well, when Mandy and Sam put up the tree, Mandy brought in several boxes. She has totally messed up the house. There is stuff everywhere. Seriously! And they have been moving furniture again! This time they moved the TV, and they moved the couch clear out of the room. Then they added stuff. Strange thing my people do, always moving stuff around.

Peyton is in a better mood today. I am putting him on a workout plan. It is my personal goal to get Peyton to lose some weight. I am showing him what I do to stay in shape. This morning, I showed him how to play with his food. It helps work on your sharp starts and stops, and it teaches you to except the unexpected. He did not really get into it, so I am chasing him this morning. I see him sitting in the corner, so I am off to chase him!

Cat Doctor and Big Lies!

Ok. So much is going on around here that I do not even know where to start. I am so overwhelmed with all that has happened I can hardly think straight. Meow....Let me start with the most traumatic news first.

This morning, we got up as normal, but then when Mandy went to leave, she put us in harness! Meow! I get to go too! Ok, so I am sure you can sense the sarcasm in my enthusiasm. I was less than eager about the prospect of going with Mandy. She said we were going to the Cat Doctor -- that sounds less than thrilling-- so as you can imagine I was easy to catch. I gave Mandy quite the workout, but she got the best of me when she opened the door and went outside. I should have known that was a trap, but I was too excited to go outside.

So, Mandy puts us in the car with our portable cages. I dislike those things! When we first got to the cat doctor we tried to go inside in our harness, but we chickened out, and Mandy let us in our cages. Maybe they are not half bad. So we go inside and there are all of these other cats. And do you know what?! They love Mandy! And even worse, she shows affections back! Go away CAT! That is MY Mandy!!! I let everyone know I did not like these cats cozying up to MY Mandy. But I was in my cage, so I could not do much about it. Those cages are awful!

Then Mandy takes us in a small room and lets us out of our cages! I came right out of that awful thing! But then she took the cage away and closed it. Some strange lady came in and picked me up. Excuse me! She said I was a big boy. Too big. Whatever. She doesn’t know what she is talking about, I am just a growing boy. Elway hid in the corner after Mandy pried him out of his cage. The lady went for Elway and Mandy had to pull him out. Poor brother. I ran back to my cage, maybe it is not so bad after all. But it was closed and I could not get in.

Then the lady left, and I thought we were good to go, but Mandy said we had to see the doctor. What? Who was that lady then?! So we waited and the doctor came in. She told Mandy I was fat. FAT?! Me?!! She told Mandy we had to get my weight down, and she gave Mandy special food. Who does this lady think she is? Telling me I am Fat. Look lady, I am just fluffy. MEOW!!! Mandy, do NOT listen to her! But you know what; I think Mandy listened to her, because Mandy talked about my food. The Doctor said it was too high calorie. Now, I do not know what calories are, but whatever they are, I like them!

So then the Doctor picked me up, and looked me all over. Then she stuck sharp things in my behind. Excuse me!?! Is there no privacy? She even talked to Mandy about my daily schedule…like it is any of her business what I do in my box!

And to make matters worse, the doctor said Elway was perfectly healthy. And he was not fat. Meow. At least he got stuck with the sharp things in the behind too.

Finally, Mandy opened the cages, and I ran in! Get me out of here! I am tired of hearing these lies! I am NOT FAT! Once we were in the car, I demanded to be let out of my cage. I told Mandy just what I thought about that awful Doctor place. MEOW!

So then we get home, and already I have noticed changes. Mandy took some of my food away! She put it back in the container!!! Meow?! What if I want to eat that?

Well, I do not know if I can share any more about the tree in the TV room, or the boxes that are everywhere. Maybe Elway can tell you about that later, he is more excited about it. I am so tired after today’s events and it is not even lunch. I am off to take a nap. Maybe when I wake up, today’s events will all be a bad dream!

Thank you!

To the nice people who took care of us,

Thank you for coming over to check on us when Mandy and Sam deserted us. Although we were not overly friendly, we did appreciate you coming over to clean out our box, and to feed us!

Next time we see you, we probably won’t be any kinder, but please know we are grateful for your consideration.

Sincerely,
Peyton and Elway

Breakfast!

I want Breakfast NOW! Meow! Mandy and Sam are home, and I am so glad! They left us, alone with all the rain and cold weather. They had nice people come take care of us, but it is just not the same when Mandy and Sam are not here. We were so happy to see Mandy and Sam. They told us when they were coming home, so we were waiting for them in the front window.

When they came home, we loved them and showed them all of the fun times we had the house without them! The good thing about them being gone is we had free reign of the house and we could do whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted. But Mandy and Sam scratch our head, and keep us warm on cold nights, and play with our toys! So we were glad they are home.

But that brings me back to breakfast. We eat with Sam and Mandy, and Sam is not up yet. I am so hungry, and Mandy says we have to wait for Sam. I don’t think I can wait for Sam, I might eat something else. Oh wait!!! Sam is up! Breakfast!!! MEOW!
Peyton!

Rain

It's raining. Still. And it's suppose to rain more. Bummer. It could rain all day. We can't play in the rain, it is wet. Blah wet. It rained all afternoon yesterday, and there are strong winds. It makes the house drafty. I am glad for blankets to warm up with. And it is nice to have a brother to cuddle with. He does not pet me or wake me up to snuggle.

Well rain is the only news here. No big adventures, nothing fun to report, just rain.
