Evil Rabbit is Back Again
Things are starting the slow down around here. Sam is still working really long hours, but Mandy is staying home later and coming home earlier. We are enjoying extra Mandy and Kitty time. Last night, Mandy played with us, and we had fun with our springy toy. I jumped and flipped for her.
Maybe Mandy will play with us again this morning!

Tyranny Take-Over
This weekend, Mandy opened the windows and let us play outside. She also opened the front window while she worked out there. I sat in the window and talked with her. She looked kind of funny dragging around a trash bag pulling stuff out of the ground and stuffing it in the bag. But our yard does look better now. Peyton said she did the same thing in the back yard too. I sat in the front window and Peyton sat out back so one of could see Mandy pretty much all the time.
Sunday started out great! Mandy and Sam slept in a little and then got ready for their Sunday morning activity. I say they slept in, but I really don’t know what that is any more for them. But it was light outside when they got up. They got all dressed up and left, but they came home to eat. That is when the tyranny started. Sam found the Offensive Off-Springs and brought it out of hiding. Then he took it outside! Mandy always said Vacuum wouldn’t go outside, but I guess Baby Vacuum can! Sam took that Villain outside and cleaned off all the furniture. Mandy was inside cooking and cleaning.
I hate Vacuum and that Off-Spring is just as bad. Mandy made me watch Sam. She carried me around while she dusted and I could see Sam and that mini-machine. It was very scary, but Mandy said that Vacuum could not get me. She said I was safe with her. Well, she also said Vacuum couldn’t go outside. I guess she didn’t know Sam would take the Tiny Tyrant outside.
Well, when Sam was finished and dinner was done, Mandy and Sam went outside to eat. They sat on the now pollen-free furniture and ate. Mandy even opened the window and turned the speaker around so they could listen to music while they ate. It was very nice.
Well, as soon as they were finished eating, they cleaned up and left. I was very sad. They normally spend time with us on Sunday, and today they left. It was a very long and lonely day. Eventually they came home, and played with us, but it just wasn’t the same. Where could they go that would be better than spending time with me?
Well, Mandy is getting ready to face the day, so I am going to go. There are people walking by the front window with their dogs. Some of the dogs are on leashes and some are not. Why is that? Mandy always puts me on a leash when we walk to the mail box.

Waking Mandy
I have finally learned how to wake Mandy up and I have done it two mornings in a row! You see, we have never been able to consistently wake Mandy up. She is like a giant rock when she sleeps. Sometimes even Sam has a hard time waking her up. But I have learned a trick and it works every time…Pain! I know it probably sounds mean, but I can wake Mandy up whenever I want!
Mandy normally sleeps on her side, and I can stand on her underarm and push forward. It is the perfect angle to inflict the most pain. It also puts me very close to her ear, and just as I start to push I can scream in her ear. MEOW!!
Elway says I am very mean. He says it is better to wake Mandy nicely, and he does. But I told him my way is much more fun. Who wants to be nice, when you can make Mandy jump!
Well, it is going to be a long day. I have big plans! Napping, playing time, eating, and more napping--bet you wish your day was as action-packed as mine.

Peculiar Behavior
Then yesterday morning, they got up really early and dressed fast again. I just do not understand why some days they get up so late and rush around, and other days they get up so early and rush around. And on even other days, they get up for a seemingly leisurely morning. It is so bizarre.
I have good news! I am done with my medication! I did not like taking that stuff! But it did make me feel better, and Mandy gave me treats every day. But I am glad that I do not have to swallow that awful pill any more.
Mandy says that tax season is almost over! I had forgot what tax season was, and it seems I have forgot what life was like before tax season. But Mandy is excited and Sam is too, so it must be exciting!
Well, I am going to go hurry Mandy along. I have not decided what today is…it must be a leisurely morning. She’s going back for her second cup of coffee!

Free Four-Legged Creatures!
Some people had big dogs and ran fast. Other people had dogs smaller than me, and walked slow, while the dogs ran alongside of them. Some people talked and laughed, others were alone. So many people passed by. A few people had those tiny people in a tiny car-like thing that they had to push. I watched the whole race!
Mandy showed Peyton all the dogs and do you know what he did?! He growled! Not a friendly playful growl, but the gut-wrenching-from-the-toes-make-your-whole-body-shake kind of growl. He hated those creatures out there. Mandy opened all of the windows up again, and Peyton refused to go outside while those *hiss* creatures were out there. I didn’t mind, it meant I got to sit in the window and I didn’t have to share with Peyton.
Mandy has been cleaning house today—that means Vacuum comes out. I loathe Vacuum. I was outside, and Mandy says Vacuum doesn’t go outside, but I still came in and hid in the bed. Then I played outside some more. I have been napping in the sun. It’s wonderful! I love the sun!
Well, I am going to go back outside. It’s so nice--it’s not worth it being inside.

Unusual Activity
It was so exciting! Since it was dark outside, I was much more brave than normal. I rode on the dash board for a little while, until Mandy pulled me down. Then I jumped in the back and looked out the windows. Lights flashed by and everything looked different in the dark.
Peyton was totally freaking out because we were going like to we were going to Vet. Mandy said we were not going to Cat Doctor, and that everything was going to be. We drove past Cat Doctor and into a parking lot that was very loud! Mandy said people were partying because it was St. Patrick’s Day. Sam jumped out of the car and ran in some doors that opened on their own for him!
Well, while Sam was gone it started to get crazy outside. Fireworks went off! Scared me to death! I ran and hid under Mandy’s feet. So did Peyton. We hid as far in the dark shadows as possible. Sam came back and took us home. I was so glad to leave that parking lot with all the loud noises.
I was so glad to get home. The trip started out really fun, but the noises in the parking lot were very scary. It was kind of fun to go on a late night drive.
Well that’s all now. I am going to go sit in my window.

Glorious Sunshine
Mandy changed clothes and started hopping in front of the TV again. She has taken this up as a regular activity, and it is very amusing. She hops and jumps and huffs and puffs. It’s funny to watch and sometimes I laugh at her. Today she just told me to go play outside.
Peyton has also picked up a new habit--singing. It’s very funny sounding. Mandy plays the noise maker and he screams along with her! She loves it, and has tried getting it on video, but is not able too. Peyton must be camera shy.
Speaking of Peyton, he is getting an awful lot of attention lately. I mean why is he getting all this attention? So he was sick. So? Now Mandy feeds him special treats and gives him special snuggles in the morning. She says it is not treats, it’s medicine. Meow. Whatever. Peyton told me about the doctor. It sounded awful. He said cats were crying everywhere. I’m glad I didn’t have to go.
I was sad when it started to get dark tonight. Mandy said we had to come in. She says she does not trust us in the dark with her fish. She says she can’t see us, so we have to come in. I have been in the front window most of the evening. I do like to watch the people pass by in the cars or walk by with their big animals.
Well, I am heading back to the front window.

Weekend Fun
I thought we were going to be able to play outside, but Mandy got ready and went to work. On a Saturday! Meow!!! Elway was so upset, he ran in front of her and attacked her feet, crying the whole time. I thought he was going to knock her over. I was really sad she left us, but she left music on. I love music.
She came home and played with us, until vacuum came out. We hid for a while then, until Mandy called for us because it was dinner time. Sam came home early and they had dinner together too.
Today Mandy gave me another pill. I took it with no problem. Mandy said I was a good kitty and gave me a big hug and some treats! If taking these pills means I get treats, maybe I do not mind taking them so much.
This afternoon after Mandy and Sam came home they and picked us up and put us in the car. I thought we were going to the awful cat doctor again. Mandy tried to calm me down and tell me it was a fun trip. We did not go the right way to get to the cat doctor so I calmed down. Sam drove until the car stopped and got out. Mandy stayed with us in the car. She helped us watch people. She said they could not get to us because we were in a big cage, and even though the people could see me they could not touch me. I believed her and watched a lady put a little person in her car. She took a lot of care putting that tiny person in the car. I have never seen a person so tiny. It was a fun trip, and when we came home we played with the new toy that came in a box from ajulie.
It was a fun weekend, but it just was not long enough. I cannot wait until next weekend. I love weekends.

Horrible Awful Day!
As we were driving the car made this awful sound and something scraped across the window. I ran into my cat cage and hid. I did not know the car could make such awful sounds. Mandy said it was ok; it was just the windshield wiper. She showed it to me again. I slowly crawled out of my cage. Mandy talked to me and told me that everything was going to be fine, and we would come home to Elway soon. She said Elway did not want to come and so he was left. I thought everything was going to be ok, but then the windshield wiper went again. I was in my cage so fast!
You would not believe where Mandy took me. To the VET! We went in and this strange orange and white cat came up and put his nose on my cage! Who does he think he is?!
Then we went into the small room where the Vet comes in. I refused to come out of my cage, and so Mandy took it apart. I did not know that my cage came apart, but it does and Mandy pulled me out. She snuggled me and loved me. She promised me everything was going to be alright, but I was so scared. I lost so much hair.
Well then some lady come in and put me on that awful scale. She told Mandy some numbers and you know what?! Mandy smiled. She said it was good news. The Cat Doctor came in and said I was doing a really good job on my diet and I was down almost a half pound! Meow Meow!
Well, that was the last of the good news for a while. The strange lady took me from Mandy and held me while Cat Doctor examined me. She felt all over and looked at my bottom. Excuse me! That is private! Do you have no shame?
Well, she felt and felt and felt, and finally she stopped. The strange lady gave me back to Mandy. I hugged Mandy! GET ME OUT OF HERE PLEASE?! I begged Mandy to let me back in my cage, but she said the Cat Doctor wanted to do one more thing.
She came back in with gloves…that is not a good sign. The Strange Lady took me back and held me down. Mandy looked on, I think she was mortified. But she could not have been half as mortified as I was! Do you know what that Doctor did?! She stuck her finger up my bottom and felt around! It was awful! She said that I had some swelling and that she would give me an antibiotic. She made an awful mess and the strange lady took me out of the room. Mandy! Please do not let her take me away! She cleaned me up and took me back to Mandy. I practically jumped out of my skin to get to Mandy. The Doctor left and Mandy said all we had to do was get my medicine. The Strange Lady came in and shoved it down my throat. I did not care, as long as we could get out of there!
Finally, Mandy let me back in my cage! I ran in there and curled into the smallest ball I could at the very back of my cage! I was so glad to get out of there!
Mandy brought me home and into the house. I was never so glad to come home in my life! Elway greeted us at the back door and sniffed me all over. I told him about the horrible things that Cat Doctor did to me, and he could not believe that Mandy would let them do that to me. He sniffed the cat cage, and finally, he knew the truth.
It has been an awful day. I can only hope that tomorrow will be better. At least it is Saturday. Weekends are my favorite part of the week.
I am off to sleep some more.

Snuggly Day
I agree with Elway, the weekends are the best, and I am already looking forward to the next weekend. Mandy’s work schedule has been crazy this week. A few days ago, she did not work as long as normal, and came home to be with us. She opened a window for us! Yesterday, Mandy worked a really long day. I was sure she had forgotten about us and our dinner. But when she came home, she feed us right away.
Well, I am going to snuggle Mandy some more before she finishes her coffee.

Fun Weekend!
This weekend was so much fun! On Saturday, Mandy opened the windows and we played outside. She watched us carefully though to make sure we did not fish. After we got tired of playing, Mandy closed the windows to the back yard but she opened the front window, and put the music in the window. She then went outside and pulled weeds. There goes my nap! I sat in the window and watched Mandy. I talked to her, and pointed out the weeds she missed. I also enjoyed the music. Peyton came too, and sat under the speakers. Mandy did not have the music up very loud; she said she didn’t want to disturb the neighbors, so the music was very quiet.
When Mandy came back in, she opened the windows to the back yard again. Nap time is over, and I haven’t even taken a nap. Peyton was not smart enough to say out of the fish pond though. Once Mandy opened the door, he knew he was in trouble. Hahaha!! Meow Meow Meow!!! Peyton swam with the fishes. And while swimming with the fishes is not fun, Mandy was there with a towel when he got out and she picked him up and snuggled him until he was dry. Peyton was not a happy camper. But I bet he doesn’t fish again.
Sam came home early and we ate dinner and watched a movie together. Mandy pulled me up on the couch with her. I sat in her lap, and while I might have fought for my freedom a little, I eventually sat in her lap and let her scratch my head. It was very relaxing. So relaxing in fact that when Mandy pulled me into her lap on Sunday, I didn’t even fight. I just curled up and slept while she scratched my head.
Sunday was just as nice Saturday! Mandy and Sam ate at home again! And then they opened the windows and went out back and cleaned up the patio. They even re-planted the aloe. It used to be in one tiny pot, and now it is in four pots! Mandy says she hopes it lives.
Well, it was a fun and memorable weekend. I can’t wait until next weekend. I am going to sleep today to make up for my missed naps and dream about next weekend.

Saturday Mornings
I have been telling Peyton all week that he cannot fish outside. I don’t think he has been listening, but I sure hope so. However, if he gets in trouble for fishing I will laugh pretty hard.
Mandy and Sam bought us a new scratching post several sleeps ago. I love it! Mandy puts this amazing stuff on it called cat nip. I love that cat nip! Peyton and I will stretch out next to the post and slowly scratch the post freeing small amount of cat nip. Mandy even put cat nip in the cat cave. Mandy is not very generous with the cat nip, but it is wonderful stuff.
Sam has been coming home late this past week. It is the first week of tax season he has worked so late. I kind of like having Mandy all to myself. She plays with us, with the springy toy, and she feeds us. While she gets ready for bed, I warm up her spot and then I sleep on her feet. She says I am sweet.
Well, I am going to ask to go outside again.

Big Plump, Dreamy Fish
I know there are three cardinal rules for outside behavior:
1. No Frog Chomping
2. No Bug Munching
3. No Fishing
But I cannot help it, those fish are huge! They would make a tasty meal. Those fish just swim around and around. It is like they have a life in that little tub. Whatever, I know that no matter how much Mandy protests our fishing—she is just growing those fish to feed us.
The worst part of all of this is that no matter what I do, Mandy says I am a bad cat. Every time I ask to go outside, she says “Bad Cats cannot go outside.” It is really a downer to hear “bad cat” over and over. So when she tried to play with my toy today, I flipped my tail at her, and walked away. Bad Cats do not play with toys Mandy.
Well, I am going to ask to go outside again. It is unlikely, but maybe Mandy will change her mind if I keep asking.
