Mandy packed us up and took us to Cat Doctor for our yearly check-up. We don’t really like to go to Cat Doctor and Peyton was a bit of a handful for Mandy. I didn’t really want to go, but when she put me in my carrying case, I went because I know she doesn’t like to make us do things we don’t want too. Peyton on the other hand, was a little problematic. He refused to go into his case, and gave Mandy a paw print with his claws that stretches across her tummy. I saw it, and it looks like it hurts. Anyway, Mandy had to build the case around him and he fussed and fought the whole time. She was very gentle. I tried to tell Peyton to calm down, but he ignored me.
When we arrived at Cat Doctor, Peyton was first on the dreaded scale. It was cruel to him, and the Cat Doctor said he could handle losing some weight. Then when Mandy tried to take me out of my case, that moose of my brother crawled in with me. He wouldn’t crawl in his case when Mandy wanted him too, but he can squish me when he wants to go home.
Anyway, I was nervous to get on the scale after Peyton’s experience, so I fought a little, but once they recorded my weight, they said I was handsome and healthy! And they loved my bubble gum nose! However, Cat Doctor took this awful tool to my teeth trying to pull off the plaque that was built up. It was very strange.
When we arrived home, I was thankful to be back! Mandy put us in the bedroom, and we napped on the warm bed all afternoon.
Mandy did not stay at work very long, and when she came home she wrapped Christmas presents. I always help her by chewing on the ribbon. So, if your package has some teeth marks in the ribbon, you will know it was tied with the love of an Elway!
This morning Sam and Mandy played with these long brown tubes that the paper is normally attached to. They danced across the living room like they were the Dread Pirate Roberts. However, if he was really here, they wouldn’t stand much of a chance. Those crazy kids dancing across the house!
It is so cold here. Mandy said we are breaking records that have been set for fifty years! It is freezing! Literally! The long white ice drops are hanging off our mail box. Mandy and Sam have this wonderful blanket they pulled out last night that is warm all by its self. I have snuggled Mandy in order to warm my paws on this wonderful blanket. It is simply amazing.
Well, Mandy needs to get ready for work, so I am going to hurry her along.
