Sunshiny Day!
I ran and stood in the doorway to the bedroom hoping I could intimidate him into the closet. However, I only frozen him in his tracks for a second, and then he just came barreling toward me. I went running under the bed, and that villain tried to eat me up! I had to jump clear inside the bed to be safe. It was awful.
Mandy said I should not let the villain ruin my whole day, so I am now considering going back outside. Well, maybe I will go outside. Perhaps I can brainstorm and find a way to destroy the evil villain.

Well Wishes
Sunday evening, when I came out of the litter box, my tummy was sore, and Mandy said I bleeding. She cleaned me up, and fussed over me until I was ready to chase her away. She let me sleep overnight, but as you can imagine, a trip to Cat Doctor occurred first thing the next morning.
I hate going to visit Cat Doctor, and it is even worse when I have to go alone. However in the examination room, Mandy snuggled me until I was brave enough to explore the room and eventually hide behind Mandy’s coat in the corner. At one point, I came out of hiding for more snuggles. We sang together, and it was comforting. I have never sung in public before, but it did help calm me down.
The Doctor was not concerned about the little bit if weight the nasty scale lied about. She said it was because I did not feel well. She examined me, and stuck her finger in places where they were not welcome. I sat very still while she examined me, and she said I was a well behaved beautiful boy.
She said I had a ruptured anal gland because I have been straining myself in the box. She gave me some fiber that Mandy is mixing in my breakfast and dinner. Cat Doctor also gave me an antibiotic, which I hate! Mandy shoves pills down my throat twice a day. It is awful. However, I am starting to feel better and I am having a much easier time in the box. Mandy hates to give me the pills, I know she does, but I do not think she can hate giving me the pills half as much as I hate swallowing them. After I take the pills though, I get treats. I love treats.
I have slept several hours more than normal in the last several days. In order to show Mandy and Sam I am grateful that they care about me and are helping me feel better, I have been extra affectionate in the morning. Today I snuggled Sam and Mandy for almost an hour to help wake them up. And I am currently snuggled next to Mandy. I want them to know that I appreciate their care.
Well, I am going to nap some more unless Mandy will let me outside to soak up some sun.

Robber Relents
Elway’s insistence on stealing my bed led to a major battle, but I was the victor! I tossed Elway out of my bed and happily snuggled in for a long nap. However, that bed thief tried to worm his way back into my bed by snuggling up next to me. I was not about to give up my bed this time.
Mandy took pity on the robber though. She went into the bedroom and brought out my second bed and set it next to my bed. Elway happily took the second bed and we napped in the sun together. It was an acceptable compromise.
I never use my second bed, but I assumed Mandy would move it back into its normal spot when we went to bed last night. She did not. I cried and cried until Sam got up and brought my bed into the room. I did not sleep in it, but I was glad to have the bed back in the right spot, so I let Mandy and Sam sleep.
Well, I better get back to my bed before Elway tries to steal it again. You can never be too careful around him.

Bed Thief!
Now beware. He may look cute and be sweet, but the moment you let your guard down, he will steal your bed.
My brother came over to greet me. I thought he was being nice to me, because he snuggled up next to me.
I have returned the favor by chasing Elway off the big bed at night. This morning when Mandy & Sam woke up, Sam pulled me up to the top of the bed. I snuggled Mandy under the warm blankets while Elway froze on the floor. I stayed snuggled up under the warm blankets with Mandy for a long time, and then I taunted Elway with my warm snuggle time. He was jealous. Hopefully that will teach him a lesson—Never steal my bed!

Cold Hard Water
I was checking out one of our buckets that catches rain water and the water in the bucket was hard! I touched it and the hard clear layer dipped below into the water. Mandy said that hard layer on top of the water is ice! The ice was strange and new, but it was too cold to examine closely.
The fish were to cold to come up to the top of the water and eat. Peyton and I didn’t stay outside long. When we came back inside we had to run around and wrestle in order to warm up. Now I am going to snuggle up on the warm blanket and sleep.

Warm Blankets
After the movie, Mandy and Sam played with crazy video games. I watched in dismay as they jumped, ran, and flailed their arm in all directions. What crazy people!
They went to bed early again, and slept through all of the wind and rain. It was a noisy night, and I was thankful for a warm bed. This morning the rain is gone, but it is still gray, blustery and nippy outside.
Mandy is getting ready to go, and I need to ask for crunchies.

New Schedule
Last night they went to bed early, and then watched TV. I thought I would get in on the fun, by climbing on the headboard, and then body slamming Mandy. It was pretty funny. It made Mandy giggle a lot, but Sam didn’t laugh. I think he was almost asleep and I woke him up. I snuggled in where I landed, and it made for a pretty cozy spot.
One day this week was a little different, almost reminiscent of our normal days with Mandy, and it was my favorite day of the week. She came home and crashed on the couch. I snuggled into her legs, and I think she fell asleep. It was very peaceful, and I was glad to help Mandy rest. It shows her how much I love her.
Well, I’m going to ask Mandy to let me go outside now. It’s sunny.

Life Changes
Then there are all of the changes to our life which Mandy calls Tax Season. I remember tax season, and I don’t like it. Tax Season means long lonely days for us kitties. For one thing, Sam and Mandy are waking up in the middle of the night! It is still cold and dark when they get up. And when they get up do you think the first thing they do is feed me? NO! They jump up and down in front of the TV. This morning Red Lightening Bug joined in their jumping and Peyton and I had a great workout before we even ate breakfast! Second, they are going to bed super early! I mean really really early! Like before the news comes on early! Peyton and I are so upset with the changes to our schedule we haven’t eaten our crunchies--which isn’t so terrible because Mandy is extra generous with the treats when we don’t eat our crunchies.
Tax season also means that Mandy works. Yesterday when she was getting ready to leave I went flying into the kitchen and slammed myself into the door she was going to open. I collapsed into a pile, hoping she would think I was hurt and stay home with me. She reached down to pet me, and talked with me for a little while. After she set all of her stuff down, I figured she had come to her senses and decided to stay with me, so I did a little dance. Well, Mandy guessed that I wasn’t hurt and laughed at me. She played with me a few more minutes, but then she picked up her stuff and left! I sat in the front window and made terribly sad faces at her as she drove away. I’ll admit, I was trying to be pathetic in order to make her feel horrible enough to come home, but she’s a cold-hearted one and it didn’t work.
Sam came home and worked at our new desk—the one Mandy doesn’t let me nap on. Evidently the desk is there for Sam and he has taken it over with new contraptions. I am excited to see how Sam will use the desk, and when we are alone, I will check out all of the man toys he brings home! Maybe he will be home more this Tax Season because of the desk. That might be cool.
Anyway while Sam was working I snuggled up to Mandy to let her know how much I loved her. She laughed at me and said I was adorable. I love to hear that.
