Long Time No Blog
Hi All! I have been super busy, and have been unable to blog because of all of the exciting things going on in my life. I’ll do my best to fill you in on all the exciting details. It all started when Mandy started cleaning the room upstairs--that always means someone is coming to visit. However, Mandy did not do a very good job cleaning house for company, so I wasn’t sure if someone would really come or if Mandy was just cleaning upstairs for fun. Then on Saturday night, Mandy and Sam dressed up in funny clothes and left. Pretty soon someone came in our back door! Mom-With-Cool-Toys and Shrimp Dad broke in! They brought in a whole bunch of stuff and hung out with us for the night. They even gave us cool toys! Mom WCT and Shrimp Dad stayed with us all week. They stayed home with us and let us play outside while Mandy and Sam worked. Shrimp Dad didn’t feed us any shrimp, but he sure is generous with his food. He shares even better than Mandy. One night, Mom WCT and Shrimp Dad went someplace and came back pretty late. They brought me another toy! It is a tiny yellow dog, and I can flip him all over the house. Peyton received an orange one, but he hid his under the bed and won’t share him. Mom WCT and Shrimp Dad left on Saturday. I know they left, because Mandy cleaned the upstairs room again, and she let me sneak a peak in the room. There was no one there, and all of their stuff was gone. Mom WCT cooked yummy food, and now that she is gone, Mandy’s dinner was less than exciting tonight. I didn’t even try to share it with her. Peyton and I haven’t been feeling that great. It’s so hot here, and we are losing our winter coats. Mandy says it’s hairballs that are upsetting our tummies and she says she might give us a bath to help us get rid of the excess hair. Meow. The awful “b” word. Meow. I don’t think Mandy can bath us without Sam, so I’m pretty sure we’re safe tonight. Well, I’m going to snuggle Mandy for a while. Elway

Clocks
I have found a new stick to bring in the house to torment Mandy. I throw it up in the air and play with it to show Mandy how much I love these dried sticks. I have to remember to take my sticks back outside because all of the sticks I leave in the house disappear. I think Mandy hides them, but I haven’t found her hiding space.
This morning something amazing happened! If you remember back a few months I told you Mandy received a balloon for her birthday. Well, I hate this balloon, but I couldn’t do anything to rid my house of it. Mandy has let the balloon live in our house for months! I finally started ignoring the balloon, but these last few days, the balloon floated up and down, and I thought maybe he was ready to make his move on me. Well this morning, the balloon escaped from the hallway Mandy kept it and floated toward the fan. Sam rescued it, but I knew how I could destroy this balloon for good. When Mandy started getting ready for work, I waited until the balloon started sinking and I chased it into the next room. Sam was right about the fan. The balloon drifted directly into the fan! He took a beating like I’ve never seen before! Mandy came rushing out to save her crazy balloon and hid him in the closet. I think the balloon is dead though, and eventually Mandy will throw him away. She doesn’t keep dead things.
Beating the balloon gives me the confidence boost I need to triumph over Vacuum. I am working on a plan to destroy Vacuum this weekend!

Early Sunrise
The weather is beautiful outside. Sam is home with us today and he opened the windows for us. It is quite lovely to be outside, or just sleep in the sun next to the open window.
Sundays are my favorite days because Sam stays home with Mandy and us and we spend time together as a family. It is comforting.

Vacuum the Villain!
I liked to carry my stick around and play with it in several places. I played with it outside, in the bedroom, under the noise maker, and on my scratching post.
Mandy has been rather lazy today. She slept late and we snuggled her hoping she’d wake up and feed us our crunchies. She opened the window in the bedroom and we’ve enjoyed some outside time. I’ve tried to find a new stick since that Bully ate my toy.
Sam and Mandy have been working long hours this week, but they did manage to sneak home for one lunch. They brought home these delicious sandwiches they shared with us.
It’s getting dark outside, and I bet Mandy is going to close the windows soon, so I am going to slip outside for the last few minutes of daylight.

Strom's a-coming!
Mandy ended up leaving us to go to work today. Normally she stays home and plays with us. We missed our play time and snuggles, but she’s home now and we are ready for dinner. We keep telling her we are hungry, but it is a little early for dinner.
I think Sam might be home for dinner because Mandy seems to be waiting for something. It would be nice if we all snuggled in for the night.
Well, I am going to remind Mandy that it’s getting close to dinner time.

Beautiful Night
Yesterday was a wonderful day because Peyton and I had a surprise in the middle of the day! Right around lunch time, we heard people coming into our house. It was Mandy and Sam! They came home, and opened the house up and Sam grilled hot dogs. They ate lunch at home, and it was a welcome change to have them home for a short time. Peyton found Black Cat back on the ceiling, and told Sam all about him. Sam called Black Cat Shadow, and Peyton was furious that Sam knew his name. He screamed and yelled and ran all over the house. Peyton was unable to chase Black Cat away as long as I sat in the kitchen window. Meow!
When Sam and Mandy left after lunch, Peyton was waiting for Black Cat to return. I was busy saying good bye to my people, so Black Cat was nowhere to be found.
Well, I am going to curl up with Mandy for a quick nap before bed time.
