Big Adventure

Yesterday, we went on a huge adventure. Sam and Mandy woke up very early, and packed the car with lots of stuff that had been all over downstairs. When they came home, the car was empty! They put us in our harnesses and told us we were going to our new home. I didn't like the sounds of this, so I let Mandy know I was displeased. I took it a little too far, and made Mandy sad. I felt awful. I was sweet to try to make up for it.

Something you should know, I like to ride in the car. But today, Mandy and Sam took our litter box! They have never done this before. Once we were in the car, Mandy said they were taking us to the new house. I helped Sam drive.

I even told him to be careful!

We had fun playing in the car. Mandy was there to snap pictures of us playing. We like to pose for the camera.

When we got to the new house, Mandy told us to look out the window.

When we got there, a door opened and the car could drive right into the house! What an amazing thing! I was a little nervous that the house might eat us, but Mandy and Sam seemed ok with it. They let us look at the room that opened up for the car for a while before Mandy and Sam took us in the house.

Once we had calmed down a little Mandy and Sam took us in the house. We weren’t very excited to go into the house. At first, we hid behind this big machine that Sam called Washer. But those machines were strange! Ours are tall, but these were wide. Sam said we could come out from behind Washer the easy way or the hard way. We picked the hard way, and Sam moved Washer and pulled us out. Then they closed the door, and made us look at this new strange place. We found some of our toys, and even our bed. Sam even brought our litter box in, and there was food and water! We found lots of fun things at this new strange place Mandy calls our new home.

The people made us go outside and all of these birds were there. They kept yelling at us. It was very scary. We told the birds to chill out, but they wouldn’t listen to us. They kept screaming and yelling. Mandy took pity on us and took us back inside. If this strange place really is our new home, then those birds will have to learn that this is our space, and they can leave.

Once we went back inside, we calmed down. We even found some fun places to play.

Over all, I think this new strange place was fun. I’m not sure I understand everything that is going on, but if Mandy and Sam say everything will be ok, I think it will. Maybe this new place will be fun. I was glad to go back home though. When Mandy asked if we were ready to go, we sure were ready! She says we will go back to this new place she call "New Home." I’m not sure yet what I think of this. I'll let you know.

Strange Happenings

I think that our happy lives are about to change! Today Mandy cleaned my play room, which is normal, but she didn’t put my toys or my bed back! She set them by the door with this big pile of stuff. I showed her my displeasure by turning my bed over and kicking my toys everywhere. Mandy said that wasn’t a good idea because they might get lost. What does that mean?! She never loses my toys. Then this afternoon, she took all of her pretty sparkly things out and Elway tried to help. She was upset when Elway tried to help, and told him not to touch the sparkly stuff. Something strange is going on. Mandy said we were going to see the new house tomorrow and that things would settle down, but I’m not sure things will ever be the same. It is very strange. On top of it all, it’s thundering outside. I’m off to hide under the bed.

Man Eating Ceiling!

It’s been the strangest weekend. Saturday morning Sam got up and pulled the ceiling down. Then it tried to eat him! It was awful! I tried to fight the ceiling off, but Sam said I could not win. Fortunately, Sam fought the ceiling, and won! Mandy helped him, and they pulled out all of these boxes. Thankfully, the ceiling was put back in place. Then when Peyton and I went down stairs, there was stuff everywhere! I don’t know what’s happened, but Mandy never lets the house get messy and it looks like a war zone! Mandy doesn’t even let us run all over anymore, when they leave, they leave us in the bedroom. There is so much stuff downstairs that we are glad to hide in our bed. Well, the people are getting ready for bed, and we should go make sure they don’t get to sleep.

Vacuum Indiscretion

I would like to start by saying Happy Birthday to one of our followers. Happy Birthday Julie! I don't know you, but Mandy seems to like you a lot. So I hope you have a happy day and you get to eat your favorite food, and someone scratches your belly while you nap in the sun.

This week has been amazingly weird. The humans are acting very strange. Their normal schedule is totally gone! I can't figure out what is going on. Mandy normally goes to work early in the morning, but she hasn't been going as much. But when she's come she has been doing really funny things. She has been moving stuff around and she keeps telling us that we are getting ready to go to our new house. Some things are evening disappearing! I don’t know where everything is going! Mandy says we will all stay together, and that our food and litter box will be there too. I'm not too worried since she says she will be there too. Mandy normally keeps us safe and warns us when strangers are coming over. She also gives us breakfast every morning. She even gives us what we ask for! This morning I told Sam we wanted turkey. He didn't understand me, but Mandy gave me the turkey I asked for. Sam brought her the food, and she fed us. Thank you Sam! Mandy might have not fed us for another five minutes if you hadn’t intervened and I might have starved. Don’t listen to Mandy when she says we are big cats…we are just growing boys! The chicken is our favorite meal, but Mandy says it is only for Sundays and special days. I'm hoping this big new house will call for some special food. With as much as the people talk about it, it must be pretty special. So I think good food is in order since it is so special.

Yesterday, Mandy stayed home during the day and cleaned all our hair up. She told someone on the phone she was going to use Vacuum. I tried to stop her. I blocked her way to the closet three times and even sat in front of the closet, but she moved me! The nerve! I told her "NO VACCUM" and she used it anyways. I hate Vacuum. It is loud and noisy, and it sucks things up. To show Mandy how displeased I was with her decision to disobey my request not to use Vacuum, I took Peyton upstairs and we refused to come down for most of the day. When we ran out of food up here, we eventually had to cave and go get our food downstairs. But we showed Mandy the cost for disobedience. Funny thing is, I don't think it bothered her. I think she will bring Vacuum out again. But we will continue to punish her by ignoring her for such indiscretions. If ignoring her doesn't work, I will think of some other way to make my point.

Well, today, I found one of Mandy's hair bands. The people always takes it away from us, but if I sneak it under the bed when Mandy isn't looking and wait until they are asleep to play with it I can keep it! So, I am off to hide the hair band when Mandy isn't looking.

Monday Madness

Hi All. It’s Monday, and Mandy is staying home with us all day. Normally Saturday is the day we all get to be home together, but the people left Elway and me. They come home at night, but during the day, they were out doing something. We like to be home alone. Mandy isn’t here to yell at us for jumping on the tables, and scratching chairs and stuff. But after they’ve been gone for a while, we take turns watching for them at the door. It would not be good if they walked in on us on the table. I would never tell Elway, but I like to sit at the door. When Mandy walks in she picks me up. Although I would never admit it, I like to cuddle. This morning, the people got up early. I snuggled in with them after the alarm went off and made sure they didn’t get up so early. When Sam wakes up I know more food is on the way. When we get hungry we always wake him up. I can’t wake Mandy up, no matter what I do. I try jumping on her, yelling in her face, sometimes I even bite her toes. Nothing wakes her up.

A downside to Mandy being home all day—no nap time. She makes sure we don’t get to sleep. She is constantly calling us, and singing, and cleaning. And she’s proud of it. When Sam gets home, she says, the kitties had a big day today. No nap. They’ll sleep well tonight. HA! This is when we get our revenge…we’ll, actually she’s right. We normally end up sleeping.

Well, I’m going to try and slip away and squeeze in a short nap before Mandy notices I’m gone and wakes me up.

It's a Cat's Life

Just for the record....I don't like you. In fact, I don't like people, expect for Mandy...and sometimes Sam. But that's only because they feed us. But that's useless information. I'm starting this blog with my brother Peyton to show you how we plot to take over the house, and from there the world. meow meow meow.

Anyway, we're orange tabbys that are just a under a year old. I'm trying to show Mandy how cute I can be. She has a pretty rigid schedule which I'm learning. If I can distract her with my cuteness maybe she will pay more attention to me, giving Peyton more time to plot our evil plan. You see every morning I crawl in the sink while she puts this funny stuff on her face. It smells pretty good though. I like to put my paw in the powder and rub it on my head. While we're doing this Peyton is off planning. Our first goal has been reached...we have built our evil headquarters. We were able to rip out the bottom of the people's bed. Now we can crawl in it. In here, no one can reach us, and we are able to figure out how we will take over the world!

Well that's all for now. I hear the treat bag being opened. I must go act cute!
