Life is extremely different now that the tiny being can move. She moves
just about everywhere, and Elway and I have become creative in our hiding
spots. Mandy does occasionally try to keep us safe from Stella, but other times
I think she eggs her on.
A bonus has come about though, Mandy leaves the door to Stella’s room
open and I can now nap in her room. I often nap under the crib. I do try to be
friendly to Stella, although I am not thrilled by her touches. She is
rough.
Every morning I wake Sam up. I make sure he wakes up on time and starts
his daily routine. In return, he lets me outside. I have even been able to play
in the rain. Elway does not join me because of the heat, but I am glad to have
some time alone, with the noise in the house. In the morning it is quiet,
because only Sam is up. The world is just waking up, and I enjoy each moment of
the day’s wakening. I come inside to enjoy some milk and breakfast, and
occasionally I return to enjoy some more outside time. Other times I demand my
crunchies from Mandy. I have to demand these now, because if I do not Mandy
forgets and I do not receive them until much later in the day.
We have had several inches of rain in the last few weeks. Stella has
not enjoyed much time in the big tub because of this rain. Mandy seems to miss
the big tub.
Stella has been sick the last few days. She has not been sleeping, and
neither have Mandy or Sam. Because they have been up and down at night, several
times, I have not been sleeping much at night. Instead I make sure Sam and
Mandy stay awake and watch Stella.
Well, it is getting late. I must insist that Mandy starts preparing for
bed.
