Paint Stick

Mandy prepares Sam a lunch every morning before he leaves for work. Since it is the middle of tax season he is working long days, and Mandy packs him several items of food, some of which she keeps of a cupboard in the Man-Eating-Room. Well, she left the door open while she was digging in the cupboard, so I took the opportunity to dart out! I was in for a huge surprise though! The mouth of the Man-Eating-Room was open, and I slipped clear outside into the front bushes! I ran so fast, that Mandy only saw a blur run past her.

Mandy did chase after me though. She told me to get myself back into the house. I do not think so Mandy! I am free of the captivity in which you keep me and I am going to roam and show my independent kitty skills!

Well, Mandy disappeared for a few minutes later, but when she came back out, she was not happy. She grabbed a HUGE yellow paint stick from the garage and started poking in the bushes I was hiding in with this stick.

I guess my display of independence was short lived, because I took off for the house as fast as my little legs could carry me. I did not want Mandy to come close enough to touch me with that stick. I scurried back into the house and into safety. The big outdoors will have to wait for another day; but I have had a taste of freedom, and I want more!
