I think the War might be over! Finally! Sam caught Elway in the window Sunday morning and Elway has not been back on the window while Mandy and Sam have been awake. Sam snatched Elway out of the window and tossed him in the tub. Sam forced Elway to stay in the tub for a while, then he locked Elway in the litter box room. Both Mandy and Sam told Elway only good cats could leave the room. I was allowed to pass freely in and out, but Elway could not leave. I thought they might keep Elway in that room with them all day, but Mandy told Elway if he promised to be a good kitty, then she would let him out. She said although it was a tiny space, he did not need any more space to survive because he had the box and food. It took Elway a long time, but after much whining, eventually he warmed up to Sam and Mandy and promised to be a good cat.
This morning Sam and Mandy changed up their routine. Sam woke up and rather than getting ready for work, he started messing with my box. He emptied out all of the litter and took my box away. Mandy cleaned all around where my box is supposed to be, and then cleaned the rest of the room. Sam took a very long time to bring my box back into the room and I started to feel a little desperate. Eventually, Sam brought my box back in, but he did not put litter in, and I started feel even more desperate. I watched Sam carefully, and when he opened the back door, I darted outside. I hated to use the outdoors, but my box was empty and I had to exercise the freedom Strange Cat mentioned. It was awful and barbaric. I came right back in, and hid. I knew Mandy and Sam would be upset, but the box was otherwise disposed. Eventually, Sam put my box back just so, and it is nice and clean--much nicer than before. Sam even cleaned up my outside indiscretion and Mandy told him it was because I was desperate.
It is raining outside. Again. It has rained pretty much all weekend. Mandy and Sam are watching the TV closely, and it keeps speaking about the oil spill. I cannot believe that those people have not cleaned up their mess yet. Mandy would not allow that in our house, and I think those people should fix this mess quickly. The TV also says there is a ban on fishing. How am I supposed to eat my Tuna dinners if there is no fishing?!
Wow, it is really pouring outside. I hear Thunder in the distance; I think it might be time to hide in the closet.
