Dinner Run

Last night I was sitting next to my dinner plate awaiting a scrumptious meal, when Mandy picked me up and shoveed me in the new case that Elway has been using to nap. She zipped it closed and carried me to the car. She tried to bring Elway too, but he absolutely refused to tag along on this adventure. Had I been given a choice, I would not have gone either. However, since I was unwillingly shoved in the case and dragged to the car, I had to go.

As soon as Mandy sat down in the car, she opened up the cage and I slipped out. I cried as I watched our house fade away. I called Elway every four letter meow I could scream until Mandy told me to calm down because we were going on an adventure. I watched as we left our neighborhood and drove past several small buildings. She said we were going to pick up dinner. Dinner? What?! Most of the time Mandy fixes dinner at home and upon a rare occasion Sam will bring dinner home. I rarely play any part in the dinner regiment.

Anyway, Sam pulled into a small lot with lots of other cars, and went into a building. I could see him through the glass. When he came back out, he had a small box that Mandy called dinner. She put it in the back seat with me. She opened the box and there was pizza inside and it smelled delicious! Mandy offered me a piece of sausage. I did not eat the whole sausage, but I enjoyed licking it. Sam said it was special treat for being such a brave kitty on a big adventure.

After picking up the pizza, Sam drove straight home. I got back in my case and Mandy brought me back in the house where she promptly fed me dinner. I told Elway just what I thought of him abandoning me on this adventure and then bragged about getting sausage.

It was a huge adventure, especially since the last few times I have been in the car I ended up at the cat doctor. Mandy says that every trip does not need to be to the doctor and sometimes trips are fun. I am not sure I agree with her yet, but perhaps it was rather enjoyable to spend some time with Mandy and Sam in the car once I calmed down.
