Outside Work

Sam and Mandy have been spending the early evenings outside working. Sam used the loud machine that eats the bushes. Normally Mandy uses that machine, but Sam must have won out this time. He cut the bushes pretty short, and now I can not only see over the bushes when I look out the kitchen window I can do it when I’m sprawled out. I can also look down the bushes along the house all the way to the ground! Sam did a really great job cutting all the bushes back.

While Sam cutting the bushes, and chasing off the snake, Mandy was out front with this machine she ran along the edge of the grass. She had grass and dirt flying everywhere! It was like a storm cloud of grass! When she finished she swept all the grass up into a big pile, and Sam came and picked it up. Sam works faster than Mandy, so he helps her finish up. When those two dirty people came in, I ushered them right to the shower. There was no way I’d let all that dirt roam freely through my house. Mandy laughed at me, but I was pretty serious.

Mandy has also bought a beautiful Easter Lilly! It hasn’t opened up all the way yet, but I think it will be beautiful come Easter! Our whole house will smell like flowers! I love lilies! And when they are almost dead they drip this delicious sticky goo, which I like to lick up before Mandy catches me. Once she catches me though she keeps the goo wiped up.

Mandy has also spent a lot of time out in the sun in the backyard this week. Peyton’s guilt trips work wonders, so we have enjoyed playing in the warm afternoon sun almost every day this week. In fact, both Mandy and I are basking in the glorious sunlight listening to the neighbor mow the law. Peyton is out here too. I do believe it’s almost time for Mandy to use the big tub again! Then we will be able to spend much more time outside.
