Today has been rather unusual. Mandy and Sam slept in again, which they have been doing all week. I don't understand why Sam isn't going to work as early as normal. After Sam left for work Mandy pulled out the video games and started jumping, dancing and moving all in front of the TV. It was vastly different than her regular work out. Then after she rested, she went outside and did some yard work. She took the bush-wacker to the plants by the big tub, and then she swept up all the leftovers she cut off. Peyton helped her sweep things up, and was allowed to stay outside even longer since he was so helpful. Mandy said he was extremely helpful. He even pawed some of the leaves Mandy didn't sweep up.
After a while, I joined Peyton outside and we found an intruder! I snatched that lizard up in my mouth so fast you would have been impressed. However, the lizard put up a fight and Mandy heard the ruckus. That lizard tried to take a bite out of me! Mandy jumped up and met me as I jumped through the window. The lizard was flopping out of my mouth, and he had a tuft of my hair hanging out of his mouth. He was a feisty little critter.
Mandy grabbed me and tried to get me to drop the lizard. I refused at first, but Mandy was very persuasive, and the lizard was less than cooperative in my mouth. Eventually I gagged and the lizard sprang from my mouth and literally flew across the room and landed on the couch. He immediately hid under the pillows and Mandy shooed my away. Then she gingerly picked up the pillows so not to allow the flying lizard another flight. Mandy found the intruder and he sprang at her. I'm telling you, that creature was something fierce! She stepped back and the lizard jumped up on the back of the couch and then down onto the floor. Mandy tried hard to capture the lizard but he was just too fast for her. She was moving furniture and trying hard to scoop up the lizard but he was one ferocious little critter! He even snapped his jaws at Mandy showing her the tiny teeth that had snagged a tuft of my hair. She said he was more gator than lizard! Eventually, Mandy called Sam since she didn’t think she’d be able to catch the trespasser. She was winded, and tired. Sam said he’d come home and help as long as Mandy could keep an eye on the lizard. Just then the trespasser made a run from under the couch to the chair. Mandy threw a towel on him and scooped him up in the towel! She captured the lizard! Sam was called back and told not to return home--Mandy can capture lizard after all!
Mandy took the whole towel outside and let the lizard go. He still had my hair in his mouth. He was a mean little sucker. Well, at this point, Mandy made both Peyton and I come in the house and she closed the windows. She said we broke rule number four, No lizard snatching, and not only that, I had brought the mean little intruder into the house.
It was rather humorous to watch Mandy jumping and throwing furniture around. I did not think she could move like that any longer, but apparently she still has a few tricks up her sleeve.
This afternoon has been rather calm. After a stressful and active morning, Mandy has relaxed and cleaned house for the weekend. Hopefully it will be a fun weekend.
