Life has been rather quiet since the morning chase earlier this week. However, when Sam leaves for work Elway and I make sure we are at the front door to make sure no intruders trespass in our domain. So far, nothing else has dared enter into our home.
The other day Mandy was napping on the couch, and Elway woke up her up let her know there was a small bug not far from her. She was able to capture the bug and dispose of it, before it could disrupt her nap. She praised Elway for his brave display of protectiveness. In order to show Mandy that I am also brave, I have looked for bugs all week, but have not been able to find another. However, when another one sneaks into the house, I will be there to pounce.
The weather has been beautiful of a morning, and Mandy opens the windows for us as soon as she wakes up. This morning, Sam overslept slightly, and I was forced to wake Mandy while he dressed for work. I jumped up on the bed and told Mandy it was time to get up. She responded by pulling me into a cuddle. I told her that I did not want cuddled, I wanted outside! Mandy eventually responded to my requests and woke up to let me outside! It was gorgeous this morning, and I sang to the world to say good morning! I am hopeful that when Mandy grills dinner tonight, I will be able to enjoy some time outside again this evening.
