I have spent several long, relaxing hours lounging and sleeping all over the house. Vacuum woke up early this morning, and I hid in the Kitchen part of the time, then I ran to the bedroom when Vacuum finished in there. I am too tired after an eventful weekend to care about Vacuum today, but someday I will take my vengeance on that loathsome creature.
On Saturday, Sam and Mandy left us alone most all day. Peyton and I played all over the house, and it was fun. However, Mandy and Sam arrived home late causing dinner to later than Peyton would have liked or demanded. But Mandy and Sam seemed like they had fun away from the house, and they don’t get out much, so I wouldn’t spoil their time away by fussing at them upon their arrival home. After dinner, Mandy picked me up and took me to the car. Peyton refused to come, so I went for a ride all by myself. I tried to hide in the back of the car since I was alone, but Mandy picked me up and made me sit in her lap while Sam drove. I watched as houses and cars raced by at a rapid pace. Sam took us to a place where several cars sat in rows. I watched as people walk passed by our car. I was glad that Mandy stayed in the car with me, while Sam left and went someplace I couldn’t see. No one seemed to notice me, but I was still glad when Sam came back, and took us home. Peyton greeted me at the front door, and I told him about my adventure! He would never admit it, but I think he was a little disappointed to be left home. Guess she shouldn’t have run from the offer.
Last night, just before dark, Mandy opened a window for me! Sam and Mandy jumped in the bug tub and swam back and forth. I enjoyed jumping in and out of the window while they splashed around. It made for a wonderful evening!
Well, I’m back to nap some more.
