Oh what beautiful mornings! We have had several days mornings now that have been absolutely glorious! Mandy has opened the windows for us, and we have enjoyed time outside. It is wonderful! I have missed our outside time more than I thought. Strange Cat came by yesterday and we talked for a long time. We even walked along the screen together. Elway pouted and went inside when Strange Cat came by, but at least I was able to spend some time with her! She is fascinating! I was careful to groom myself this morning before I went outside. However, I did not see the intriguing creature this morning.
This morning we did have a new visitor though! A wee little turtle come by and told us about life! This turtle was much smaller than Mr. Turtle or even Little Turtle. We are unsure what happened to them, but Wee Little Turtle was friendly and had much to share. He even stayed close by and let Mandy and Sam look at him. He has beautiful coloring on his shell.
This morning Mandy’s alarm went off, normally only Sam’s alarm is set. So as soon as I knew it was time to get up, I started asking Mandy to open the windows. It was almost light outside, and I knew she would let us out if we asked. Mandy got out of bed first, but she made us wait a little bit before she let us outside. She said it was still too dark to go outside, but when Sam finally rolled out of bed, only a few minutes later, he opened the window for us! Apparently a few minutes made all the difference.
Last night, when Sam came home, he pulled out the grass eater and went to work. Mandy let us play outside again, and it was beautiful. We stayed outside until Sam started pushing the grass eater in the back and then we came inside.
This morning Sam went to work. He has not worked on Fridays for a long time, and I guess that means it might start getting busy for him again. We will miss our long weekends. It just not the same without Sam home today. Hopefully we will be able to enjoy him tomorrow.
