Mandy says the sun will come out tomorrow, but I think she’s just singing to us to make us think there is hope we’ll see the sun again. The sun went to sleep Thursday night, and has been gone ever since. In it’s place, we’ve had dark clouds, rain, thunder, lightening, and wind. Lots of wind. This morning, the wind is screaming through our back yard. It is rather spooky. Not to mention, dark. Even with the lights on, it’s dark in our house. Mandy and Sam have been out in the awful weather, and we have worried for him. We are always relieved when they return home. We tried to keep them from church yesterday, but Mandy said the storm wasn't that bad, and that we would be fine. We were forced to believe her, and she was right. We were fine until they returned home. But it wouldn't have been so lonely if they stayed with us. I stayed curled up in bed while they were gone.
On top of all of that, I thought Sam was suppose to return to work today, but Sam and Mandy slept late again, and there is no sign of Sam even thinking about getting ready for work. Those lazy people are still in their pj’s lounging around the house. It’s relaxing, but I’m not sure what it means. How am I suppose to help Mandy with laundry if Sam is doing all my work?
Sam caught me jumping on the big table today. I’m not allowed to be on the big table in the fancy eating room, and he dragged me back into the family room and forced me to sit with Mandy for a while. I didn’t stay long, before I was off playing again. No man can tame me.
Well, I think I might go play with Peyton. He’s been extremely vocal with this dreary weather. He talks to anyone who will listen, and often he just sings a song all of his own. Mandy and Sam have sung with him, talked to him, and played and he’s still howling away. I’m going to attack him, and maybe he will play with me instead of making such a ruckus.
