Resting Up

This weekend was busy. Mandy told the truth about company. Late Saturday night, Sam and Mandy tore out of the house and when they returned Mom With-Cool-Toys was with them. Elway and I were sitting in the window when they pulled up and we saw her climb out of the car. She came in and talked with us for a little while before we all went to bed.

The next day, Mom WCT was true to her name and pulled out some new toys for us! However, these toys were different than anything she has brought us before. She had to make these toys! She filled mice with catnip and sewed up the bottom. She made a catnip mouse for both Elway and I. After she gave them to us, Elway pulled out several of his toys from the toy box to show Mom WCTs how much he likes her toys. She laughed at us, and enjoyed our company.

Sunday evening, Mandy and Mom WCT came home with more stuff for something tiny. It is still spread all over our house, but Mandy has been going through it and writing on note cards. She spends time with us next to the front window while she does these. She says we are a big help as she sorts and folds these tiny items.

On Monday, Mandy and Mom WCT left us alone for a good portion of the day, and when they came home in the afternoon, Mandy said we had to say good-bye to Mom WCT because she was going home. We both came out and said good-bye and then she was gone.

Sam has been busy working in the yard. He has been cutting some of the palm tree branches down. He created a huge pile of branches in front of the house, and today a big green truck came and took those branches away! Now our front yard is clean again!

Wee Little Turtle was in the back yard yesterday! We would have gone outside and talked with him, except it was raining and neither Elway nor I wanted to go splash around in the sprinkles. However, Wee Little Turtle looked as though he was thoroughly enjoying himself. He stretched his neck way out of his shell and was looking up at the sky. It was fun to watch him.

Well, I believe it is time for a nap.
